Music Recommendation – Single – DJ Drama ft. Trey Songz, 2 Chainz, and Big Sean, Oh My (Remix)

I said earlier I would post a bit about DJ Drama over the course of this blog’s life, and I will hold on to that promise for a while. Oh My, though not my favorite DJ Drama song, it is my second favorite and is an all-timer on my list. But why does this track hold a special place in my heart?

The Oh My remix is way better than the original, which is still decent. 2 Chainz has a very weak verse, but the hook is definitely fire. Trey Songz delivers the message that he wants to get in your pants pretty well, and Big Sean drops some good bars in a short time period. If you like any one of these artists you will most likely enjoy this song.

Really the only reason this song is in my all-timer list is because of the hook. I’ve listened to this thing so many times, Trey Songz kills it. But overall, I’m afraid I can’t give the song above a 8.5/10. Big Sean’s verse is good and Trey does well on his, but the hook is really the reason to listen to the song. Verses aren’t very memorable, but still solid. I still think it is worth a listen, after all it was my favorite song for well over a year:

Music Recommendation – Single – DJ Drama ft. Drake and Future, We In This (Remix)

DJ Drama is known for his remixes, which often times are even more popular than the original tracks. I would not go as far to say that this one is better than the original, which I just wrote about, but it is still damn good. Drake’s verse is some of the best rapping Drake has ever provided, and will earn some respect for him as an artist. Future, though hard to understand, sounds better than most of his songs and the catchy hook is still the same.

Not much else to say other than what I said before, the beat is easier to hear and appreciate in this one but the remix gets a bit boring by the end. Future’s part just does not have anything keeping you there. This was actually one of DJ Drama’s singles for Quality Street Music. Overall, I would give it a 9/10. You should give it a listen below:

Music Recommendation – Single – DJ Drama ft. Future, Young Jeezy, T.I. and Ludacris, We In This

We In This is one of my favorite rap/hip-hop songs out there, and DJ Drama is one of the most underrated artists in the game. This track is sick and a real pump-up song. Every verse is consistently solid, especially T.I. and Ludacris, who absolutely slay their spots. The beat is hard-working and production was successful in making the song excellent.

This was one of the singles off of DJ Drama’s debut album, Quality Street Music. The sequel, Quality Street Music 2, is on its way and should be here next year. I will be recommending other DJ Drama tracks as time goes on, as overall some songs are not my thing but there are a few that are worth sharing. This is one of them.

Unfortunately, Jeezy’s verse is a bit bland and Future’s hook, while catchy, is impossible to understand. The song is very easy to listen in full, it is entertaining and definitely worth a listen. Overall I would rate it at 9.5/10. This is an all-timer for me, so I seriously recommend a listen below:
