In honor of hitting 5,000 views today, I decided to do something special. Just because I write about less-than-mainstream music sometimes does not mean I have no ounce of soul. AKA I do not consider myself a hipster. If you do, go ahead, but I thought I would share my favorite mainstream music picks. So let’s jump right into this, I’ll even give quick ratings!

Hear It First – Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne, Real Love

Did you like Rather Be? Well regardless, if you did not you are not a Clean Bandit fan because it will literally be the only song they ever release, just with different words (not singers, just words). Basically this is just the same song over again. I do think it is still worth a listen though. I like it, but not enough to break it down and make a full analysis on a song that has a copy and pasted form from a previous hit song.

“You give me that feeling” and “na-na-na-na-na, no place I’d rather be” are basically exactly the same. It’s like they say, if it ain’t broke, don’t even touch it; just sub in new lyrics about the same subject.
