It has been a while since I posted about my man crush Trey Songz, but Without A Woman is a hidden gem on his album Chapter V. The song is rich in RnB and features some of the most reflective lyrics in a Trey Songz song.
Sadly it seems most of Chapter V was buried by the fame of 2 Reasons and Dive In, which were excellent songs (well, Dive In was), but not worth trumping the album’s best tracks (namely Without A Woman and Forever Yours, which I have ranted about before).
Without A Woman has always been lyrically beautiful and had a wonderful love-vibe to it. It is up there in my favorite Trey Songz tracks, and is definitely worth a listen if you could only catch the popular songs on Chapter V. Overall, I would rate the song at 9.5/10. The switch from song to song-speaking is a little uncalled for at the end, but regardless hardly ruins the song. You can give it a listen below:
